So About that New Year’s Resolution

Happy New Year Everyone!

I love New Year’s. I love the challenge of moving forward, of setting new goals for yourself, of the possibility of reinvention and the promise of continual improvement. It’s also at New Year’s that I reflect, and think about where I was last New Year’s Eve, or the one before, or the one before that. Progress often feels slow, and then fast.

Last New Year’s, I resolved to take better care of myself in terms of presentation: to try to make more of an effort with my hair.

I kind of failed. I mean, I look okay, but not great. I look more or less the same as I did in 2015.

Mostly, this is for financial reasons. We’ve had other priorities this year; replacing a furnace is more important than buying hair products, having a car that runs is more important than having a wardrobe full of trendy clothes.

Oh well.

This year, I’m not sure what I’m going to do… Maybe I’ll actually start jogging again, with gusto. Maybe I’ll try to drink a little bit less wine. Maybe I’ll actually post more regularly! There are lots of ways I can improve, and I look forward to attempting to tackle at least one of them… Or maybe I’ll just stop trying to accomplish too much! Focus!

Anyway, best wishes to you and yours for 2017!
